Supplies

*Clipboard.. I find mine at Wal-Mart. You may be able to find them cheaper elsewhere
*Desired Paper. I usually use 2 different peices
*3M Craft Glue Stick
*Tacky Glue
*Acrylic paint to match a color in the paper
*Scissors
*Colorbox Chalk Inkpad in Chestnut Roan
*Glue Dots Mini
*Paper Cutter
*Measuring Tape
*Pencil
*Embellishments - stickers, buttons, ric rac etc.

Step 1. Paint the back and sides of your clipboard your desired color to match your paper.

Step 2. With your paper cutter, measure and cut your paper to be 9 inches wide. Then cut your length to desired length. Mine is different every time because sometimes I like alot of the top paper to show and sometimes the more of the bottom. Do the same with your bottom piece. 9 inches wide by desired length.

Step 3. Measure and cut an opening for the top of your clipboard. The kind I am using is 1 1/4 inches. I lay my top paper just below the clasp and draw the lines on both sides. I then use my measuring tape and make my lines 1 1/4 inches and cut. Fold paper over to crease. Tear off or cut notched out paper.

Step 4. Start with your top piece and glue it to your clipboard. Use your glue stick for this. Go around all edges and a couple of swipes in the middle. Press it into place and smooth. Line up your bottom piece of paper and glue. Make sure to smooth the entire area. (Be sure to trim any paper that has exceeded the egdes. You can use a nail file to go around the edges and file off paper.)

Step 5. Now comes the fun part!! You can embellish your clipboard. In the picture shown, I took a strip of coordinating paper to make a band across the middle. Glue down like you did your paper. Cut a piece of ric rac 9 inches to go across the band. Add stickers, glitter, buttons, add a picture.... I used yarn and ric rac to tie at the top.

Step 6. Use your Color Box Chalk to distress the egdes of your clipboard. This gives it a nice overall finished look.

Thats it... I hope you enjoyed making this as much as I did. I think I am truly addicted. Have fun!!!
