I have a LARGE plastic bowl that I mix everything in.
In this bowl you will mix the following in: 4-5 cups BOILING WATER (you want this water hot hot hot) 1/2 cup instant coffee a good "dash" of vanilla..... I give about 4-5 shakes! Take a wooden spoon and mix it all well. You want the coffe to be all disolved. I take a piece of cheesecloth and place the following spices: cinnamon sticks broken into small pieces(about 5-7 pieces) whole pieces of nutmeg slightly grated(2-3) anise(2-3) whole cloves(small handful) Then I take my spoon and push the cheesecloth UNDER the coffee......let the spoon hold the baggie there for at least 1/2 hour. (Take the spices out and DRY IN SUNSHINE WELL. You can then reuse them a couple times in your next batches of brew! )Take a sponge paintbrush and you can then start applying the stain to your creations. I like to let them then dry in the sun. You can also spray this mixture onto creations as well. ENJOY!! Tutorial submitted by Cedara of http://www.thrutheatticdoor.com |
